Published in Government Relations on March 22, 2022

Durable Medical Equipment Community Emergency ResponseThe Durable Medical Equipment Community Emergency Response Committee is proud to announce the newest landing page that houses resources for DMEPOS suppliers in the event of a disaster.

Click here to view the site.

The information from this site was compiled by the DME Emergency Response Committee which consists of state association leaders from all corners of the country as well as representatives from VGM and AAHomecare.

The information housed on this landing page has been collected from state associations resources as well as CMS and Federal groups like FEMA and ASPR. The group is also working to build notoriety for the DMEPOS industry among Federal and State partners to gain connections to groups that can help during a disaster.

One of the main goals of the group is to assist DMEPOS suppliers to receive necessary reimbursement and funding in the tragic event of a natural disaster. Following a disaster, the group reaches out to CMS as well as DMEPOS suppliers in the affected areas asking to discuss the immediate and long-term needs of the suppliers and of the industry as a whole.

This website will continue to evolve over time-based discovered resources and feedback from state associations, federal and state groups, CMS, and DMEPOS suppliers.

Feel free to provide feedback on the site to Emily.Harken@vgm.com.
