On May 16, 2023 seat elevation was reclassified from non-covered to a covered item on a power wheelchair. The coverage criteria is very comprehensive where most beneficiaries who qualify for a power wheelchair would likely qualify for seat elevation. While its well-known seat elevation is covered as an accessory used on a complex rehab base (K0835-K0864), many still struggle with the coverage regarding seat elevation on a non-complex power base (K0830 and K0831), as well as the allowable since it's not published yet. In this webinar, Dan Fedor and Bret Tracy will discuss the coverage criteria, and how to determine allowable, modifiers, and documentation requirements.

Learning Objectives:
1. Identify proper coding for seat elevation on non-complex power bases.
2. Determine the coverage criteria and documentation requirements.
3. Identify the formula to calculate the allowable per month as well as after 13 months of rental.
