CRT Legislation Included In Omnibus Bill

Published in Complex Rehab on December 17, 2019

As Congress wraps up the year in hopes of passing a large bill that will include several provisions and a collection of consolidated bills (known as the omnibus bill, or the "Christmas Tree bill"), it's recently been announced that the CRT manual wheelchair accessory legislation (H.R. 2293) will be included in the larger year-end bill! This will permanently exclude manual complex rehabilitative technology (CRT) wheelchairs from the Competitive Bidding Program and will stop Medicare from applying competitive bidding rates to manual CRT wheelchair accessories for 18 months.

Please take a few minutes today to inform Congress about how important it is to pass this legislation. Click here to tell you member of Congress to support H.R. 1865, which is the new consolidated bill.
