I wanted to share with you all that I am stepping away from running the day-to-day operations of OPGA to assume a new role with OPGA's parent company, VGM & Associates, as the Vice President of Government Relations.

In this role, I will continue to directly support OPGA members but more from an advocacy and legislative perspective. I am honored to continue my role on the NAAOP board where I will be active in fighting for legislative change within O&P. Over the last few years, I have had a front row seat to the countless champions in the O&P profession who are passionate about making real change for the profession and the patients it serves. I have been able to fight shoulder to shoulder with some of the fiercest and skilled advocates anywhere out there. From working closely with stakeholders from NAAOP, AOPA, and other O&P organizations to clinicians and patients themselves, the passion I have had the privilege to witness has been nothing short of amazing. That level of passion is contagious and has sparked my desire to focus on that fight in a more direct way.

Although the leadership of OPGA is changing, OPGA’s commitment to the O&P community and business as usual will not. I will be actively involved in helping the next leader of OPGA get settled into the role in the coming weeks and months and look forward to working with that individual to continue to bring OPGA’s savings, solutions, and sense of community to our members.

Without the strong commitment to legislative change and advocacy, nothing can be accomplished that will bring real, substantial change to any field. I look forward to seeing OPGA’s members, supplier partners, and O&P stakeholders, as well helping name the 2024 O&P Woman of the Year at AOPA in Charlotte in a few short days.

Thank you all for what you do every day, the impact you have had on me personally, and continuing to be advocates for your patients.
