Note from the VP: January 2022

Jim

here! 2022 has arrived, and we are excited for a new beginning to what promises to be another turning-point year in the home accessibility market.

There is much optimism regarding the easing of the pandemic in late spring, and with that, hopes that we will be able to go full force with some great events for our members as we move through the year.

Highlights to note:

April 4-8 - Building Opportunities Installer Summit in Ravenna, Ohio: We return to Access to Independence (ATI) for a full week of hands-on install training from seven of our manufacturer partners. This is a great opportunity to get several certified trainings in one visit. We again thank our fantastic member ATI for allowing us to hold this training in their classroom and 9,000 square foot showroom.

June 13-15 – VGM Heartland ConferenceThe conference is back in June this year, and we will have a full slate of home access educational tracks and opportunity for installation training. We also promise a heaping helping of our famous midwestern hospitality! Great education including a retail sales training session, excellent networking, and a good time will make this conference memorable again in 2022.

November 10-12 - Building Opportunities Executive Summit is tentatively scheduled for Tampa. This will be a two-day event exclusively for home access members with timely content and excellent networking. We are expecting a great turnout for this event as we take our executive events to a new level. Stay tuned for more information, but put a “Save the Date” in your calendar now!

For the first half of this year, I plan to spend a lot of time visiting members. We want to learn about your business challenges and continue to build our program to help you grow your business. Don’t be surprised if I reach out to you and ask you to accommodate me with a visit in the next few months. Please reach out to me if you would like to have us stop by. You don’t need me to stop by to reach out to us and share some challenges that you may have. We are always looking for ways help our members grow professionally and organically.

As always, thanks for being VGM Live at Home members. It’s a great honor for us to work with such great people who provide such meaningful work for the customers you serve.
