A Note from the VP, Jim Greatorex: May 2022

Published in Home Modifications on May 25, 2022

Let’s start out today just saluting VGM Live at Home members and the corporate manufacturer partners we work with. We have a fast-growing industry that is challenging in normal times (whatever “normal” is anymore). With the current climate, constant adjustments, and daily challenges that you encounter every day, we marvel at your resiliency and ingenuity to still get the job done. I can assure you that the fortitude shown and the extra efforts put forth does not go unnoticed by the customers you serve. Even though we have this inflationary economy with our unsettled supply chain the demand for home access solutions growing, our future is bright, and someday stabilization will come.

We are excited to host many home access guests along with other VGM guests to our Heartland Conference June 13-15. We have some great education tracks that are scheduled and some new and familiar vendors for you to meet.

Finally, after telling you for the last few months that a home access bill was coming, we were finally able to announce the introduction of HR7676 Home Modification For Accessibility Act

If you missed them, we had two great webinars in May that I would highly recommend that you take a minutes to view the recording.

Save the date for our Building Opportunities Summit Nov. 10-12 in Tampa FL. Join over 100 executives and company managers for interactive sessions, round table discussions, vendor exhibits, and great networking opportunities. Registration and more information will be forth coming in July.

We are working on a lot of projects right now that will bring more great opportunity to our members and your customers, and we hope to announce them in the next two to three months.

Thanks for your membership. It’s an honor to work with all the great companies that make up VGM Live at Home.
