Essentially Women Announces the Finalists for the 2023 Ruth Addison Award of Excellence

Essentially Women is excited to announce the three finalists for the 2023 Ruth Addison Award of Excellence.

This year’s finalists are Carol Poole, owner of A New You Pink Boutique in Brandon, FL; Patsy Taylor, Former Boutique Coordinator, Magnolias Breast Health Boutique, Augusta, GA; and Ramona Hertzell, CFm and owner of Second to Nature Boutique in Greensboro, NC.  

Finalists were selected from a deep pool of nominees by the Ruth Addison Award of Excellence nomination committee. Committee members include Matt Gruskin, COO, Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC); Mike Isaacson, SVP, Operations, VGM & Associates; Nikki Jensen, VP, Essentially Women; and Jim Lawson, Outreach Development Manager, American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics (ABC). 

The winner of the 2023 Essentially Women Ruth Addison Award of Excellence will be announced prior to the keynote session at the Focus Conference on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023, at 8:00 a.m.  

“The Essentially Women Ruth Addison Award of Excellence has become a significant award in the women’s health industry,” said Nikki Jensen. “Each year, I am impressed with the nominations that we received and the amazing accomplishments that women in this industry have achieved. Each one of this year’s finalists have had made significant contributions to the development of the post-mastectomy industry. Congratulations to this year’s finalists!” 

Essentially Women presents this award each year to an individual who has made a significant impact within her company, her community, and the women’s health industry. Nominees can be women’s health providers, mastectomy fitters, manufacturers, and other professionals in the women’s health industry. Nominations are open to all women, regardless of title or position, who work within the women’s health or mastectomy industry.
