Jim Cynkar is a respiratory therapist on the NIV team for VGM & Associates. Jim graduated from the Community College of Allegheny County with an Associate of Science in Respiratory Therapy. He started his respiratory career at UPMC Shadyside Hospital working with critically ill patients in the ICU and Cystic Fibrosis patient and others on the general floors. He then went into home care, working with national DMEs like Apria, as well as small, family-owned DMEs, treating sleep patients, oxygen-dependent patients, and adult and pediatric ventilator-dependent patients.

Jim more recently worked for Philips Respironics for six years, and before coming to VGM, was working at a skilled nursing and rehab facility. Jim is a dedicated husband and proud father of three adult children. He loves being outdoors and living in the woods with the abundant wildlife and aspires to be a Falconer one day.
